When it comes to your most-used room in the house, you are going to want to choose a style and design that works for everyone in the family. If you have an “adults” bathroom and a “kids” bathroom, then it makes it all the better. Design each one according to who is using it.

As far as rooms in a typical home go, bathrooms are by far the most dangerous for seniors. Most bathroom accidents happen because seniors needed to stabilize themselves on something that wasn’t designed with this extra weight in mind - such as towel racks, shower doors, or other bathroom fixtures.

So you’ve decided to replace the tile in your bathroom - but once you have seen all the options, you might realize that deciding which type to choose is not as easy as it sounds. Will you choose stone, ceramic, porcelain, or glass? What about the color? And the shape?

Many people don’t realize it, but shower heads should actually be replaced every 6 to 8 months. That’s up to two times each year! Most people neglect to do this, of course, but the reasons for keeping up with the replacements are more important than you might expect.
